Meeting Rebecca and Travis, I knew their wedding would be so special. They were married on a beautiful day at Cousiac Manor near New Kent, Virginia. They chose this venue because they were especially drawn to the pier and the barn with scenic views. While the weeks leading up to the wedding may have been stressful (what wedding isn’t), their day went so smoothly. Rachel at Rachel Marie Events did a fantastic job at making sure their day was a dream for them.
Rebecca and Travis started their day by getting ready at Cousiac manor. While the most anticipated part of the day for them was the ceremony, before the ceremony can really set the tone for the day. Surrounded by their closest friends, they kicked their day off strong with lots of laughs and good music. With the help of their fantastic hair and makeup teams, the ladies looked fabulous. Rebecca’s bridesmaids were ready to support their best friend in her new adventure.
Rebecca looked like a dream in her dress, which was Willow by Watters that she purchased at Blue Sage Bridal. Ashley at Studio M Hair created a gorgeous up-do that flattered Rebecca’s dress perfectly. Alongside her hair, Jordan enhanced Rebecca’s natural beauty with her makeup look. All together, Rebecca was a gorgeous bride!
One of the details that Rebecca was most excited about was her florals. Because of this, she deliberately picked her date to fall in the spring. As a result, the coral and pink peonies were a highlight of her details. The sage invitations matched the vibe of the day perfectly. Together, these colors always pair well and create a gorgeous wedding palette. Undoubtedly one of my favorite details was the hand-lettered signs. Not only were these signs gorgeous, but they were done by hand by Rebecca herself! How impressive is that?!
Travis and his groomsmen matched their looks in their suits by Truly Yours. They added a little bit of personality to their suits by wearing fun pairs of socks. Look how cute!
After spending the morning getting ready, Rebecca and Travis finally go to see each other face-to-face during their first look. Travis’s reaction to seeing Rebecca was priceless. Along with seeing each other for the first time, they also exchanged their vows during their first look. It was such an intimate moment for the both of them and ended up being their favorite moment of the day.
After exchanging personal vows and doing their first look, I took Rebecca and Travis over to a shaded spot for some romantic photos. I was obsessed with Rebecca’s bouquet filled with bright pink flowers. Travis’s peach boutonnière looked amazing against his grey suit.
Just like most brides, Rebecca was nervous to walk down the aisle. However, she said that she took a deep breath, listened to the music, and laughed alongside her dad. Her nerves disappeared and she made her way to her future husband. Surrounded by the people they love most, Travis and Rebecca were finally married! Now the fun part can begin. Following their ceremony, the newly married couple got some gorgeous portraits with the backdrop of their stunning venue.
Finally, it was time to have fun with their family and friends! They kicked off their reception with their first dance, which was so precious. Lover by Taylor Swift is such a cute first dance song and was the perfect fit for them. They then shared special dances with their parents. I loved seeing them all have a great time.
Much like their other details, their reception details at the Cousiac Manor were gorgeous. Their cake, made by Extraordinary Cupcakes, fit their theme seamlessly. For a touch of personality, they served donuts on a wall and had a tier of these maple bacon ones!
Their table setting had just the right touches of green and gold. Even down to their table number signs, everything was so well thought out. Overall, the whole night was stunning and it was a blast for everyone there.
When asked if she had any advice for those planning a wedding, Rebecca said, “It sounds cliche and cheesy, but really everything will come together one way or another. Just really enjoy the day you have been planning. It goes by in a blur, so be sure to soak it all up.” I think she is absolutely right. Her day was so beautiful and by soaking in all the hard work, she and her new husband walked away with the best memories.
Congratulations to Rebecca and Travis. I wish you a lifetime of love and laughter!
