Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Harris
Kelsey and Austin tied the knot on a beautiful day in August. The weather was bright and airy, making for the perfect day of celebrating. This fun-loving couple chose a fairly new venue in Ashland—Oakdale. The large white barn is rustic with a modern twist. I loved how much light came through on the inside. It just made the whole venue pop!
Oakdale has a very chic bridal suite where Kelsey and her bridesmaids got ready. There were really pretty gold accents like the mirrors for hair and makeup. The groom and groomsmen hadn’t arrived yet so we jumped on the opportunity to take the bridal party pajama photos out in the middle of the venue. They all looked so gorgeous!
Kelsey wanted to have two first looks—One with her dad and one with Austin. We started with Kelsey and her dad and it was such a special and memorable time. Her dad teared up once he saw her. I’m thankful that I was able to share and photograph these special moments with them.
After the first look with her dad, Kelsey and Austin got to have an intimate, pre-ceremony moment together. They embraced each other and you could just feel their love radiating.
Kelsey and Austin had their ceremony outdoors under a decorated pergola. Next door to the Oakdale venue was a pasture of cows. During the ceremony, the cows walked over into a lake and seemed to be watching along with Kelsey and Austin’s friends and families. It made for some good laughs throughout when you could hear them moo in the distance every so often. After the ceremony finished, the cows left and went back to the field as if they knew it was over.
When the family formal photos were over and it was just the wedding party left, they had a round of tequila shots ready to go for them. There were a few extra shots left so a few of them decided to double-up. They were ready to get the party started!
The rest of the wedding went very smoothly. After the wedding party introductions, dances, and dinner, we snuck out to do more sunset photos of the newlyweds. The reception was so much fun. Everyone had a blast dancing and celebrating Mr. and Mrs. Harris.
To finish off the night, Kelsey and Austin had a radiant sparkler exit. Congratulations to Kelsey and Austin. I’m so glad I got to be a part of your special day! Cheers to a life of laughter and love.
