Courtney & Adison are quite the couple. They have been together for 8 years and started dating back in high school!
Adison popped the question in his house with his entire family in the kitchen watching through the window. It was so sweet.
They had a sweet, intimate wedding at The Lawrence Lane House in Edenton, North Carolina. The house had a very southern and rustic feel all throughout it. I thought it was beautiful.
The day started with wedding details and Courtney getting ready with her bridesmaids.
She had a lot of gorgeous antique details for me to shoot. From a mirror to little pins that went on her bouquet.
I had my second photographer photographing the guys outside once they arrived. The Lawrence Lane House had a lot of open field full of trees for a very simple background.
fun fact: It took Courtney probably 10 – 15 minutes to open the champagne bottle but it made for tons of cute candids, so we didn’t mind! haha!
Once we popped some champagne and took a few robe photos, it was time to put on her wedding dress. This is one of my favorite moments to capture, a bride and her mom just sharing an intimate moment. It’s always a tear-jerker.
Courtney & Adison opted for a first look, but they did it a little differently than usual. They wanted to reach their vows to each other privately before their ceremony. I thought this was so sweet.
Courtney walked toward Adison and simple told him to turn around. They then began to read their vows.
After this, we were all on our way to the ceremony at Middle Swamp Baptist Church.
When we arrived, Courtney and her father did a first look right outside of the church.
These black and white photographs were some of my favorite photos.
Once we drove back to The Lawrence Lane House, we did family photos and one of my favorite parts, the bride & groom photographs.
The sunset was incredible. The parking lot was behind where we were shooting, so all of the dirt from driving rose up but created this beautiful sunset haze.
Everyone entered into the reception and we got this party started.
After a bunch of dancing and fun, it was time for their sparkler exit.
Congratulations again, Courtney & Adison!
