Kyle and Chris Tied the Knot
Once friends as resident students at MCV, these two are now husband and wife! Kyle and Chris got married in September at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture. They wanted to get married at a unique venue in Richmond and the VMHC fit the bill. The building is very classy with lots of clean lines and deep hues.
When these lovebirds were first getting to know each other, Kyle was really into Chris because he made her laugh a lot.
“People fall in love by smiling at each other, but people stay in love by laughing with each other.”
The wedding day started at a charming Airbnb with a lot of Richmond flare. The beautiful molding around the windows and doors provided great places to take photos. Kyle got ready in the living room area and her makeup artist was so funny. Everyone had such a great time laughing getting ready.
The lighting was so amazing on the back porch of the home. This is where I was able to get some great detail shots of her invitations, shoes, and jewelry.
To give Kyle’s dress the perfect backdrop, we hung it in the doorway of the bedroom where she would put it on. Her mom was able to help her get zipped up and ready which was such a special moment for them both.
After everyone was finished putting on their dresses and accessories, we did bridesmaids photos at a park right in front of the house. It took a few tries to find the best lighting but we finally picked an area where the light was perfect. After bridal party photos, we headed to the venue to meet the groomsmen!
Kyle and Chris had their ceremony in one of the museum rooms. The walls were gorgeous traditional blue. Right after they said, “I do,” we headed out to take some bride and groom photos. There were so many great spots to take photos so we tried to get as many as we could.
We went outside and got some amazing shots of the whole wedding party in front of the stone museum walls. Their pink dresses and black suits really stood out.
Kyle and Chris spent the rest of their evening celebrating with friends and family. It was a night filled with a lot of dancing, heartfelt speeches, and of course, delicious cake.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Achilli!
